Current Breeding Hamsters

Kit

This handsome fellow was born at Poppy Bee Hamstery on 09-19-23 out of Pearl Hamletry’s Anathema and Poppy Bee’s Spirit. He is a golden longhaired male, Aa Bb Ee Pp ll Rx_. His tamed temperament is wonderful, and he’s very expressive about his wants and needs. When he’s out for a little playpen session, he’s usually content to have quick cuddle under my chin. For the most part, Kit is pretty cage content but he did require some modifications to his enclosure to safeguard the wood. He also uses items in his enclosure to do what I call “scouting” since he’s very interested in the ladies.

Luna, formerly Burning Bride

This little darling was born at Poppy Bee Hamstery on 04-23-24 out of Poppy Bee’s Choo-Choo and Hammibal Lector. She is a black longhaired female, aa Bb Ee Pp ll Rx_. She is a very nonchalant, cage content female and poses no fuss, a total opposite to the infamous stereotypes surrounding female Syrian hamsters. In fact, Luna would rather remain in her enclosure with her beloved wheel and coco fiber dig box than come out for time in the playpen.

Red

This big, gorgeous girl was born at Pearl Hamletry’s Hamsters on 05-25-24 out of Pearl Hamletry’s Nashira and Mister Saddlebags’ Ciabatta. She is a rust longhaired female, Aa bb ll. Red is a sweet girl but a late riser. Even if she is up in the evenings, she prefers burrow construction to being out and about on her wheel. She’s pretty nonchalant and cage content, but she has required some modifications to her enclosure so she can’t reach certain tempting chew points.

Apple of my Eye (Apple)

This floofy boy (his picture is outdated and doesn’t do him justice) was born at Poppy Bee Hamstery on 05-26-24 out of Misty Beach’s Doc and Mister Saddlebags’ Pineapple Bun. He is a silver chocolate (het) banded longhaired male, aa bb E_ Pp Sgsg Baba ll Rx_. His temperament is phenomenal, and he’s growing out very well. For the most part, Apple is pretty cage content but I did opt to move him into a more “hamster-proofed” enclosure so there’s more height between him and the lid. Like Kit, Apple is very interested in the ladies and uses items in his enclosure to do what I call “scouting”.
